Description
The Jororo Native Village Show invites guests to step into a world that existed long before modern Florida. Hosted by Little Big Mountain, a Comanche and Mohawk educator and storyteller, this live 30-minute presentation reveals the resourcefulness of the Jororo Tribe — the early mound-building people who once inhabited the headwaters of the Everglades. Guests watch demonstrations of primitive fire-starting, cooking with natural materials, bone and stone tool creation, and ancient building techniques. Inside the traditional chickee huts, visitors can see original artifacts dating back 12,000 years. The program blends education and entertainment, giving families, students, and history lovers a meaningful connection to the land’s earliest inhabitants. Native-owned and operated, this experience offers an authentic perspective on the traditions and survival skills of the Jororo people.
